Jiminny uses video streaming for both video-conferencing and screen-share features.

If you or your guests have a low quality or frozen stream, a poor Wifi connection is most likely the source of the problem. We recommend a using cabled network (Ethernet) when available to eliminate Wifi as a bottleneck and usually gives a more stable video stream. 

Even if your broadband connection is good, a bad router or web traffic on a shared network may result in a poor connection.

The underlying technology uses variable bitrate codecs for all communication. This means that the quality of a video session will be dynamically adjusted to adapt to changing network conditions.
