Text messages usually arrive from a previous conversation (they might not if you have shared your SMS number in a marketing email for example). You'll know you've got a new message in two ways:
If you are having a conversation with a customer, the message will show up automatically in the same conversation view (e.g. if you're having a rapid chat).
In any case, you'll get an email letting you know someone has sent you a message. Where possible, we will include the customer name. You'll also see their message, and the last message you sent to them to provide a bit of context.
